Trainee Machinist - London, United Kingdom - Carbon60 Global
Description
Carbon60 are currently working in partnership with a leading Aviation manufacturing company based in Hayes, London to recruit a Trainee Machinist to join the existing production team.
The purpose of the position will be to learn and operate a wide variety of both CNC and Manual Machines such as Lathes, Mills, Pillar Drills, Plasma Cutters, Water Jet Cutters and Routers.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that can offer an entry level role with progression into a full machinist position.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of both manual and CNC machinery.
- Produce and repair precision engineering parts and components for the aviation sector.
- Use of precision measuring devices and tools such as micrometers, calipers, verniers, gauges.
- Plan job allocation and priority lists.
- Set up and perform maintenance on machinery.
- Operation of overhead crane.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with manual/CNC machines is desireable but not essential.
- Educated to minimum GCSE level.
- Abel to lift up to 20kg.
- Strong Attention to detail.
Working times:
Double days shift:
Week 1: 06:30 - 14:30 Monday to Friday.
Week 2: 14:30 - 22:30 Monday to Friday.
