Laboratory Setter Operator (nights)
Position is based in Oracle Laboratory located at Lonestar, which involves machining testing samples.

Key Responsibilities

Understanding ASTM/BS EN Requirements for machines test samples (desirable)
Machining samples to international testing criteria
Operating CNC and XYZ machines.
Programming wire Eroder machine to produce impact specimens.
Programming CNC and XYZ machines.
Maintaining the CNC and XYZ Machines for daytoday use.
Operating milling machine to produce impact specimens.
Operating surface grinder machine to produce impact specimens.

The successful applicant will have:
-

Maths and English (GCSE minimum grade C)
Most of the training is on the job and the experience has been gathered over some years
Good understanding of customer specifications/machining skills and testing criteria
High level of honesty and integrity

Hours of work are 46 per week, 6.00pm to 6.00am Monday to Thursday with one 30 minutes' unpaid break and two 15 minutes paid break each day.

Basic rate of pay £13.00 per hour (depending on experience) plus £3.00 shift allowance.
