Job description

  • Would you like to join the team which ensures that our libraries, and resources are available to our users in the right place and processed correctly? The Knowledge and Digital Services (KDS) department at the University of Winchester provides our students and staff with a wide range of services, resources, and equipment to help them achieve their academic activities, and this role has a key part in making sure we do that well.
  • Do you have:
  • Experience of shelving or making sure items are available to users?
  • Experience of maintaining a range of equipment, books, furniture, post?
  • Good attention to detail?
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative?
  • We are looking for someone who is friendly and approachable. Good customer service is expected in this role and the department itself holds the Customer Service Excellence award.
  • You will be expected to work across all our service areas; the West Downs Library, the Martial Rose Library and the Multimedia centre, the latter comprises teaching and open access areas and a loan counter. The University campus is small and getting between our spaces is a simple few minutes' walk.
