Join us as our Head of Supply Chain

What you'll do:


As our Head of Supply Chain, you'll work with a £3bn supply chain spend and manage relationships with 4000 suppliers.

To do this, you'll direct a Senior Management team and be accountable for business-wide contract management, while working with external suppliers.


Alongside this, you'll lead the supply chain category leadership teams to deliver a transformational, progressive and cohesive procurement strategy that's aligned to the strategic direction of our bank.

You'll also deliver against our supply chain strategy and manage its associated risks.


Your top priorities will include:

  • Contributing to our simplification initiatives by optimising the number of supplier relationships and continuously improving the efficiency of the team on a global scale
  • Supporting the endtoend process redesign from a vendor involvement perspective to ensure processes are designed to use our supply chain efficiently
  • Leading the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and vendor management strategies to make sure all external expenditure is maximised for value
  • Developing the senior team and the overall leadership of all employees within the Sourcing and Vendor Management team
  • Being accountable for the optimisation of commercial, legal and supply chain risk across all areas within remit
  • Providing senior leadership to deliver commercial advantages for the benchmarking and process improvement across all aspects of the supply chain

The skills you'll need:


In addition, you'll have experience of influencing internally and externally to executive and board level and the ability to drive change in a fast-paced environment or a performance-driven culture to provide a clarity of purpose, fact-based decision-making and a certainty of achievement.


Furthermore, you'll need:

  • A track record of people management, strategy development and project delivery within a continuous improvementdriven environment
  • The ability to change strategy into action within an organisation
  • Experience of delivering great customer service
  • An understanding of how to negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders to provide the best commercial outcomes
  • Knowledge of how to leverage businesswide networks to provide an effective third party supply chain to our business partners and customers
  • Experience of building and developing excellent relationships with customers and other key stakeholders
