We wish to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and self-motivated qualitative researcher to join the Organising Care Research Theme within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (ARC-GM), based at the University of Manchester.

You will need excellent skills in qualitative research methods developed in health or social care settings.


This position offers the opportunity to contribute to research in the ARC-GM Organising Care Theme that informs the planning and delivery of integrated health and care services that are effective, efficient and equitable.

All evaluations will have both qualitative and quantitative components, with qualitative and quantitative researchers working closely together. The post holder will lead the qualitative aspects of the research.

They will use observational and interview-based methods to understand and examine how new models of care and service delivery are being implemented and adopted and their impacts on the health and/or social care workforce, patients and carers.

Integral to the post is engagement with stakeholders in health and social care, including patients and members of the public.
