About your role

As the Signalling Installation Supervisor will supervise railway signalling installation work undertaken by allocated staff and contractors with projects I and around Wales and the west country.

Your role will however be based at our Chippenham office so travel and working away will be a requirement for the role due to the nature of the projects.

What are the role responsibilities?

Organise and plan work to maximise utilisation of resources and ensure daily task sheets are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
Organise and control the work undertaken by allocated staff and contractors and ensure that it is carried out safely.
Responsible for managing the personal safety and administration of allocated staff and contractors.
Responsible for ensuring that tools and equipment are secure, in a sensible condition and are returned to the controlling organisation when not required.
Carryout safety and quality audits on SMO installation staff and agency subcontractors.
Responsible for the briefing of instructions to staff under control or allocated for such purpose.
Responsible for checking and certifying timesheets ensuring correct hour booking and appropriation.
Responsible for timekeeping and discipline of allocated staff.
Work as directed by the Installation Manager.

What qualifications/ skills will you need for the role?

IRSE v1 Signalling Supervisor license

PTS with COSS/SWL

Emergency First Aid
Manual Handling
Must hold current driving license
SSSTS
