Description

We are looking for a highly driven, flexible, and enthusiastic events and conferences expert with a background working in the built environment, to join a leading membership body as their Conference Lead.

Supported by the Events and Marketing teams, the Conference Lead will be responsible for leading and growing the strategic conference programmes from inception to delivery, both in the UK and Internationally.

The role is focused on developing commercially successful online and in-person conferences that increase member growth & engagement and raise awareness of the brand.

Whilst most events are UK based this position also supports the wider international membershipteams to help programme events successfully around the world, maximising knowledge sharing and content.

The Conference Lead will be a built environment industry expert who can bring their knowledge, experience, and speaker contacts and develop annual programmes, delivering member satisfaction whilst enabling new routes to non-members.

Skills and experience required include:

Experience in creating commercially successful conference programmes in the built environment
Experience in achieving KPI's, producing sales plans and targets and developing business strategy to achieve growth expectations
Experience in developing and implementing international conferences programmes recruiting high level industry speakers and building strong relationships with partners and sponsors
Experience of managing a variety of conference formats from concept to delivery, inperson and online (including an indepth understanding of online event platforms)
Experience of team management and development
Ability to identify new market sectors and to drive delegate sales for conferences

This is a 'hybrid' role with some travel to the London or Berkshire office.
