Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Rents Team within Revenues and Benefits at South Cambridgeshire District Council.
We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and proactive individual to join our Rent Team. The role encompasses various aspects of rent collection and arrears management for a portfolio of Council properties.
Monitoring rent accounts to ensure timely and appropriate arrears actions is a key responsibility. You will engage with residents in arrears to understand the underlying causes of debt and implement suitable action plans on a casebycase basis.
Additionally, the role holder will be allocated a prime team but will be expected to work in at least 2 work areas as workload requires and dictates, providing valuable crossfunctional support where needed.
Strong IT skills and proficiency in English and Mathematics are essential. Effective communication skills are paramount, as the role demands a customerfocused approach and excellent negotiation abilities. Remaining composed and professional when interacting with diverse customers and achieving successful resolutions are critical competencies required for this position.
