MediShout is a unique and fast-growing startup that digitises operational pathways in healthcare so staff can deliver best patient care.

Our App is the first in healthcare for staff to report and resolve any non-clinical issue that delays them (e.g. faulty IT, broken equipment, missing stock, estates issues) whilst AI-analytics predict issues in advance. Our customers include large hospitals groups, global facilities management companies, and medical device companies with billion pound revenues.

MediShout is entering an exciting growth phase and seeking an experienced UI designer who is passionate about our mission and capable of supporting our rapid growth.

You will support this growth phase by working with our product team to uphold and improve our visual design standards, systems and processes.

The Job Role:

You will work within the Product Team as a UI Designer, working closely with your line manager, the UX Designers, Developers and QAs.

You will work across both Core and Solutions squads to design and deliver the UI of the MediShout product. You will be responsible for the design system.

You will work closely with the Product Lead, who is ultimately accountable for product and brand design to set out the vision and direction for product design.

You will be responsible for delivering your project and lifecycle contributions in a timely and efficient manner. You will provide ad hoc marketing design support.


Responsibilities:

• Design and Systematise
• Contribute to the product roadmap as a member of the Product Team, working across both Core and Solutions squads
• Optimize existing UI and support in the management of UI components within
• Strive to deliver visually intuitive and compelling designs
• Support the design phase with UI copywriting
• Provide ad hoc marketing design support, including website design and branding
• Organise and Communicate
• Work with the rest of the Product Team to refine requirements and acceptance criteria
• Communicate with Product Managers and UX Designers to understand the goals and objectives
• Contribute towards JIRA user stories with design attachments and developer communications
• Work with UX Designers to brainstorm, simplify and optimise complex layout designs
• Test and Refine
• Improve on UI designs based on user testing result and other feedback
• Refine and iterate on existing components based on user insights
• Work with QA to designproof tickets postdevelopment
• Minimise physical and visual pollution throughout the platform
• Advocate for and improve accessibility for users
• Own and Improve
• Present designs to internal stakeholders
• Support business development in pitching for new work with prospective designs of potential solutions
• Work with linemanager to define and refine UI workflows and processes
• Pursue the ongoing improvement of the MediShout product, building awareness of bleeding edge developments in UI practices
• Maintain design processes and file organisation of product design assets and company branded template files
• Contribute towards objective improvements in Product Team KPIs, including Net Promoter Score
• Support with the maintenance and updating of user guides / training materials for admin users

Requirements:


Experience:

• Experience: minimum 3 years of experience in UI design for both mobile and web apps, evidence of design of highfidelity prototypes and of simplified UI design for complex dataheavy interfaces
• Desirable skills: Marketing design, Website design, Webflow, Branding, familiarity with WCAG ( Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
• Industry: experience within the healthcare industry is a bonus, in particular digital health
