About Flowflex

Flowflex is a designer, engineer and manufacturer of high quality non-ferrous fittings, valves and components, primarily for the plumbing and heating sector.

The vacancy is to run machines in our factory to manufacture brass plumbing fittings.

Rotating shift pattern 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday. 40hrs / week.

Responsibilities:

Operating up to 4 machines used to manufacture brass plumbing fittings. This includes feeding the machine with component stampings, removing stillages of machined parts, clearing the machines of swarf and topping up with coolant and oils.
Completing paperwork related to the manufacture of the components, this includes route cards, operator check sheets and any other ancillary documentation required.
Checking the quality and conformance of components by performing visual checks, using gauges and in some cases measuring equipment. This is all to be recorded on the Operator Check sheet.
Ensuring that the machines are manufacturing quality components at all times, this will include the basic start up and stopping procedures for each machine and learning to clear basic faults when a machine stops.
General tidiness of the section and the machines they are operating and preparation of a machine for the next job when a manufacturing run is finished. This involves clearing away anything related to the completed job and bringing over components and fresh paperwork for the next one.
Ensuring the data collection devices on each machine are operating on the correct settings.

Salary:
£10.95 per hour
