JOB TITLE:
Regional Fundraiser


BASE:
Home-based, covering Greater Manchester


DEPARTMENT:
Income & Engagement


REPORTING TO:
Regional Fundraising Manager


WORKING HOURS:35 hours per week


SALARY:
£27,030 per annum


Overall purpose of the role:

To ensure effective delivery of the regional community fundraising strategy.

Building strong relationships with existing supporters and recruiting new support to leverage maximum returns from fundraising activities across the designated geographic area.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a local fundraising plan to maximise income generation across the designated geographic area. Ensure all activities are delivered within budget, achieving agreed ROI and are in line with the organisation's values and ethos.
  • Work in support of the wider team to achieve income budgets and agreed objectives in line with the overall fundraising strategy.
  • Attract new supporters and nurture and develop existing support, providing appropriate fundraising advice and resources in a timely manner to maximise their contribution to the region's income generation.
  • Research, identify and develop long term partnerships with appropriate groups and associations, individuals and volunteers at a local level, offering excellent donor stewardship
  • Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, through keeping abreast of developments within the voluntary sector to identify opportunities and trends in the region and promoting all avenues for income generation in liaison with colleagues across the team.
  • Monitor the region's fundraising performance providing regular feedback to the Regional Fundraising Manager and taking action as necessary to ensure that regional targets are met.
  • Work closely with retail staff and volunteers to maximise synergies across Fundraising and Retail and provide fundraising volunteers with clear direction and support to enable them to make a difference and be inspired by their experience.
  • Ensure that accurate and complete records are kept in line with the organisation's confidentiality regulations and Donorflex data base requirements.
  • Be a positive ambassador for NWAA, promoting and raising awareness of its service and delivering engaging fundraising presentations to potential and existing local supporters, groups and associations including individuals, schools, universities, local authorities, shops and sporting organisations.
  • Ensure full compliance with the legal obligations for fundraising activities and all internal procedures and regulations and adherence to best practices, as defined by the organisation and Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice & Fundraising Regulator

Qualifications

  • 5 x GCSE passes including Maths and English
  • Fundraising Qualification

Experience

  • Experience in a Community Fundraising role
  • Experience of achieving fundraising targets
  • Data base management
  • Working within the guidelines of the Institute of Fundraising code of practice
  • Professional fundraising experience
