Location:
Kensington and Chelsea - High Street Kensington

Job type:
Full-time, long-term temporary position

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

Start date:
ASAP

End date:
July 2024

Pay:
£85 - £95 per day


Tradewind are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on behalf of a small, thriving primary school based in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.


The school is a supportive and collaborative community of learners and educators who are dedicated to raising independent, curious, and creative children.

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide general support to a Year 2 class, assisting both the children and the Class Teacher.

Key Responsibilities Include:


  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons, lesson plans and assessments to a Year 2 class
  • Leading phonics interventions and helping children with their reading and writing skills
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children
  • Collaborating with the teaching and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for every student

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary school setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • A passion for promoting learning and helping children reach their full potential
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
