We are looking to recruit self-motivated individual to join the Soft Facilities Team working as Assistant Site Supervisor, who can work on their own and/or as part of a team, the post holder will be responsible for managing Domestic and Catering staff on a daily basis ensuring National Cleaning and Food & Drink Standards are upheld in all of our community and hospital buildings.


You will work alongside a site supervisor and develop the skills required to cover any of the sites we cover in community as well as hospitals in Ross, Bromyard or Leominster and act up on occasions of annual leave and sickness if required.


The expectation of the role is that you are able to travel to any of the sites and be flexible in working hours however, you will have responsibility for several community buildings working with the site supervisor for support and training.

We are flexible in working hours however expect the hours to be completed over a 5 day week with only occasional weekend working expected.


You will be responsible for the day to day co-supervision of the FM services in an agreed location(s) and will be the customers' point of contact for any FM related issues.

You will deputise in the absence of the Site Supervisor.

The FM services comprise of the cleaning, the catering and in some areas the linen and laundry management and water flushing.

You will be responsible for supporting the management of all the Soft Facilities Assistants providing the FM services.


This will include:

  • Ensuring that all areas of the site are maintained at an excellent level of cleanliness;
  • Ensuring the goods delivered to site are received, checked and distributed appropriately in some areas
  • Ensuring that food service to the wards is delivered appropriately and in a timely fashion;
  • Arranging rosters to ensure that there is sufficient cover available and resources are used efficiently;
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation relating to both Food Safety and Health and Safety;
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service;
  • Providing FM support and advice as required.


You should also be aware that you may be required to undertake FM duties as a member of the FM team, i.e.

cleaning and food preparation duties. You must be aware that your role will require patient contact. You will be working as part of the Estates & Facilities Management Team and are expected to have a flexible approach to your role
