Description

As a Barclays Electronic Chief Controls Officer (CCO), you will be an Assistant Vice President on a permanent basis in order to support the Markets eTrading CCO agenda.

You will sit within the Markets CCO Unit under COO. The Markets division consists ofCredit, Equities, Macro & Securitized Products within Barclays International (BI).

partnering with Trading, Distribution & other key stakeholders across three lines of defense to design, develop, implement & maintain an efficient and effective control environmentacross the Markets business.

What will you be doing?:


  • Supporting the business in identifying and managing risks
  • Carrying out remediation activities as a result of regulatory requirements
  • Helping to drive control initiatives globally ensuring the business is effectively managing its risks
  • Working with business and functions to compile reports on the status of Governance for the business
  • Helping to ensure the Markets business has documented processes and procedures
  • Ensuring the business has the capability to identify, design and implement business controls

What we're looking for:


  • Demonstrate a good governance ethic
  • Experience in a relevant environment that demonstrates the skill of implementing new frameworks and processes that are innovative and enablers of growth
  • Having the Mindset to use technology to best advantage minimizing manual tasks and improving quality of information
  • University degree or equivalent educational qualification

  • Demonstrate great analytical and critical thinking skills

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
