Description

An exciting opportunity for the diverse role of Screening Administrator has arisen due to the expansion of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.

The role includes answering client/patient helpline, administrative support, and laboratory support such as logging receipt of completed faecal sample tests.

In addition the role will support the printing and packing function of the Hub.



30 hour post Mon - Fri 9am - 3pm (or finish 3:30pm with a lunch break)


Utilise relevant Trust and Bowel Screening Programme IT software systems efficiently ensuring all patient data is collected and input accurately in line with Trust guidelines.

Provide a supporting role in the laboratory including receipt and logging of bowel cancer screening faecal test kits.

  • Maintain both manual and electronic filing systems and databases, as required by the Department, ensuring all documents are accurately and appropriately stored and archived.
  • Act as first point of contact for complaints and deal with these in line with Trust and Departmental policy.
  • Provide a supporting role in the laboratory including receipt and logging of bowel cancer screening faecal test kits.
  • Work in accordance with the Department Quality Management System including adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in training new staff members.
