Senior Accounts Assistant, Salary up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.


Adecco are delighted to be working on behalf of our client who are a successful, well established local employer who are very reputable within their Industry.

Our client is recruiting for a full time, permanent Senior Accounts Assistant to provide assistance to the Site Accountant.


This role would suit someone who is an experienced Accounts Assistant who is looking to develop & take on more responsibility.


Duties

  • To assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, provide daily sales data and be the main point of contact for creating / amending Bill of Materials.
  • To assist the Accounts Payable team (if required), including holiday and sickness cover.
  • The role requires an accurate, forwardthinking person to ensure the finance department is performing to a world class standard.
  • The job holder will be a strong individual, able to influence others and fully support the finance team.
  • Assist in preparing an accurate set of Management Accounts on a monthly basis working to a 5 day deadline
  • Assist in ensuring the monthly accounts and notes are accurately reported.
  • Posting journals to SAP during Month End.
  • Agree and reconcile intercompany balances each month
  • Updating the business cash tracker to assist with cashflow forecasting
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Assist in the production of the Annual Budget and liaise with relevant managers


  • Stock

  • Assist in stock management and forecasting


  • Product Costings

  • Ensure products are costed accurately and updated in SAP
  • Work with Operations / Commercial to review/ amend BOM's
  • Ensure financial compliance and governance, review procedures and make improvements where necessary
  • Looks at new ways to automate and simplify processes
  • Assist in Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure the Stock counts are accurate in SAP
  • Assist the accounts payable team when required

Knowledge/Experience

  • Part/Fully Qualified AAT or Qualified by Experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team, under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills both written and spoken
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to plan ahead and prioritise key tasks
  • Methodical approach to work
