  • Our All Age Disability (AAD) team has a vacancy for a parttime Practice Lead. This is an exciting role that promotes good quality social work across the service. Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for people in Calderdale? Would you be interested in expanding and developing your career in Adult Social care?   • We want to be innovative and creative in the way we work to deliver services to our communities and have recently undergone a restructure which will take Adult Services in an exciting direction and want you to be part of these changes that we know are needed.
  • We are seeking an individual who is passionate about adult social care and providing a highquality service and is keen to develop their professional experience and knowledge further. You will play a key part in ensuring our continued success and will be joining a recently restructured service that is dedicated to strengthsbased and outcomefocused practice.
  • As a member of the leadership team, working alongside Practice Lead colleagues within the AAD team, you will ensure that the service delivers, in terms of outcomes for people. With a strong commitment to human rights, you will provide leadership in relation to social work professional practice ensuring the person's voice is heard and acted upon. Through the provision of supportive and effective peer supervision, the Practice Lead will ensure that social work interventions are person centred and strength based, upholding rights in decision making. You will lead reflective practice pods within the team, establishing areas for improvement across the directorate.
  • The Practice Lead will provide oversight of practice to ensure professional Social Work standards are maintained throughout the team, while being responsible for quality assurance through reflective practice and ensure that the learning and development of the team follows national practice standards.
  • Practice Leads, alongside AAD leadership colleagues, ensure that safeguarding adults at risk is the core of service delivery.
  • Working closely with the Team Leader, you will identify development opportunities to enhance the skill and knowledge of individual team members and develop positive working relationships with a wide range of partners.
  • Partnership working is an essential and critical part of the role. The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with a wide range of partners including Statutory Organisations and the 3rd Sector to deliver outcomes for people in Calderdale.
  • Practice Leads hold a small case load of complex cases.
