Head of Year (Non-Teaching)
**Salary

  • Competitive**
    Term Time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks total)


We are looking to appointment an enthusiastic and talented individual who believes in building strong relationships with students in order to support effective learning and the emotional wellbeing of all students within your care.

You will have responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of behaviour and attendance of a year group of 200 students.

Safeguarding is at the heart of the school ethos, by supporting students and staff and adhering to our safeguarding policy through rigorous and robust support, care and record-keeping.


  • Be an excellent role model to young people
  • Have pastoral experience
  • Have relevant qualifications and training in pastoral care or child development
  • Have GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/level 4 or above
  • Have a belief that all students can meet high standards with the appropriate support
  • Have a belief in the Academy's behaviour policy and consistency in ensuring it is followed
  • Have a relentless focus on high standards and an eye for detail
  • Have a ability to listen to students and help them to find ways to overcome barriers
  • Be endlessly positive, patient and persistent
  • Be a team player
  • Have an unshakable belief that every student deserves the best and can achieve the best
  • Have a belief that there are no barriers to success that can't be dismantled
  • Have the ability, time and energy to go the extra mile, no matter what
