They provide support to people with mental health problems equipping them with daily life skills to live independently in the community.
What we need from you as an experienced Housing Officer:
- Experience working in social housing, providing support to vulnerable tenants and monitoring their wellbeing
- Able to complete risk assessments and support plans
- Experience in providing housing management
- Commitment to providing a good quality housing service
- Good written and verbal communication and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Possess good IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft packages and tenancy systems
- Driving licence with own vehicle (preferred). You will be expected to travel around all their sites. Mileage will be paid
What the role involves:
The day to day running of all properties is a joint responsibility of housing officers. You will be discussing benefit needs, signposting for welfare advice, and providing intensive housing management for all tenants.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Ensure that properties are kept in good condition and are well maintained through regular inspections and satisfaction surveys
- Ensure the effective control of security operations, door access systems and comply with health and safety regulations
- Record that all equipment in each property is in good working order, maintained in a clean and functional state of repair, and all repairs needed in the communal areas are documented and reported
- Receive and record information regarding housing, health and safety and maintenance issues ensuring the completion of appropriate paperwork
- Take appropriate action to protect the company, including identifying activities that may result in property damage
Salary/Package:
Up to £22,000 per year. Working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. 37 hours per week.
Holidays:
25 days holiday + statutory Bank Holidays. Company Pension.
