Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Food Packer/Warehouse Assistant to be a part of their esteemed team. As a valued member, you will play a vital role in both packing and warehouse duties. This dynamic position requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. During busy periods, including the weeks leading up to Christmas, you will be compensated for any extra hours worked.

Food Packing (Approx.

3 days per week):
Your main focus will be on food packing, a specialized role that demands meticulous attention to detail and care due to the nature of our premium product


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring each accurately packaged to the required weight
  • Seeking guidance for any queries
  • Verifying the proper functioning of the vacuum machine.
  • Vacuum sealing after packing.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records for full product traceability, including taking photos of each item
  • Keeping the room tidy and prepared for the next day's packing.
Warehouse Duties (Approx.

2 days per week):
You will also be involved in various warehouse tasks, which will demand efficiency and organization


These duties include:

  • Packing orders with utmost care, ensuring clear labeling and adherence to special instructions.
  • Assisting in loading deliveries onto the van.
  • Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with the office team.
  • Receiving incoming deliveries, documenting them accurately, and storing items in their designated locations while ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Performing additional packing and labelling tasks as directed.

Other Duties:

  • Occasionally opening and closing the office as required.
  • Being adaptable to take on any other daytoday responsibilities that may arise.

What You'll Need:

  • Previous packing experience, ideally in roles that prioritize hygiene.
  • Good IT skills, with knowledge of QuickBooks being desirable (though not essential).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, as precision is crucial in caviar packing and order documentation.
  • The ability to work independently and take on additional responsibilities with a sense of accountability.
  • Flexibility and a "cando" attitude, embracing diverse duties as needed in a small business setting.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong attendance record.
  • Time management skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to contribute to the company's success and achieve targets.

Salary:
Up to £24,000.00 per hour

Experience:


  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
