About the role:


We have a great opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Lean Consultant to join our firm, on a fixed-term contract basis, to spearhead the transformation of one of our critical back-office functions based in our Birmingham office.

As a Lean Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive Lean diagnostic of our current operating structures and processes - identifying areas for improvement, and developing and executing a plan to enhance operational delivery.


Specifically, the role will involve:

  • The completion of a thorough Lean diagnostic analysing existing operating structures and processes, identifying bottlenecks, and assessing areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration with crossfunctional teams to gather data, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • The development of a transformation plan, utilising Lean principles and methodologies collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • The coached implementation of sustainable solutions, in accordance with the transformation plan, ensuring the longterm delivery of tangible improvements
  • Monitoring progress of delivery against the transformation plan, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting on outcome delivery to senior stakeholders.

About you:


To this role you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Lean Consultant or in a similar role, with a strong background in process improvement and Lean methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies are preferred 6 Sigma Black Belt or Lean Competency System (LCS) Level 2a / 2b.
  • Deep understanding of Lean principles, tools, and techniques, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, and waste analysis / reduction.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive process diagnostics and develop effective transformation plans.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions based on these.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the firm.
  • Proactive mindset, with a drive for results and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic work environment.
