Description
We are working with Oldham Council to find a Payroll Assistant on a temporary basis.

Length of role:
Initial 3-6 months. Potential for perm.

PAYE rate:
£15-£17 per hour.

Hybrid: 1 day in office a week every Thursday. Potential to become fully remote

Duties include;
Processing payroll data relating to pay, absence, tax and personal information
Answering staff queries regarding salary, deductions, time records etc
Liaising with external bodies such as HMRC
Calculating pay according to hours worked incorporating any leaves and overtime
Processing new starters and leavers in accordance to deadlines


Experiences Required:

Knowledge of Tax, National Insurance, SSP and SMP
Excellent excel skills essential
Payroll experience desired
