Job Purpose:


Carry out the full range of duties required as a Tradesmen as well as leading and managing a team (sub-contract staff) whilst supporting the Electrical Manager in the delivery of the key functions.


The Role:


  • Allocate work, provide guidance and supervise your team to ensure work tasks are delivered effectively.
  • Supervise and guide your team to ensure that the required standard of works is achieved, while hitting the project milestones in line with the contract
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained to the required standard reporting or fixing where required. All defects to be reported without delay and all equipment to be kept clean and secure.
  • To identify training needs on the safe use of equipment or safe methods of work, providing this training where applicable or highlighting to the Line Supervisor.
  • To provide cover for the Line Supervisor during periods of absence and when required.
  • Be flexible and provide assistance out of hours and in emergencies as necessary, while undertaking other duties as may be reasonably required.

About You:


Essential:
Time served operational experience as an electrical tradesman

Electrical marine experience


Desirable:
Experience of managing a team

Electrical Apprenticeship

Solid understanding of Microsoft software packages - Outlook and Excel
