Cashier/Server job summary

Cashier responsibilities and duties
Perform basic maths functions to collect payments and give change

Operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals

Memorise product PLU codes.

Memorise product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions

Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner

Collect payments and bag purchases for customers

Maintain accurate cash drawer

Take a tally of the funds in the till when required during a shift and produce transaction reports

Keep the checkout area clean and orderly

Server responsibilities and duties
Create a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter.

Advise customers on baked goods selection and taking orders

Weigh, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payment

Monitor the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on displ

Maintain a clean and tidy goods counter and performing other duties on request.
