We are currently looking for a Qualification and Calibration Manager to join a Global Biopharmaceutical company based in North Wales area.

As the Qualification & Calibration Manager you will be responsible for a specialist team of engineers, includingQualification Engineers, Calibration Engineers and Automation Engineers.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Qualification and Calibration Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Ensure the team has the required training and skills to meet the current and future needs of the business. This will involve providing a development pathway for all engineers within the group. Act as a coach to team members.
  • All equipment must remain in a calibrated state. In order to achieve this, you will need to set appropriate calibration strategy and schedules to meet GMP requirements. Ensure appropriate resources are utilised to meet the required schedule.
  • Define and implement the qualification strategy to establish and maintain the validated status of facilities, utilities, equipment, and processes. To lead the validation activities associated with specific projects.
  • You will drive a culture of Continuous Improvement across the Qualification and Calibration Team, empowering Engineers to think innovatively.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • You will hold a relevant degree qualification in an Engineering discipline or extensive experience within Qualification and Calibration, coupled with an additional qualification such as a HND or HNC.
  • Proven industry experience working with a cGMP manufacturing environment, ideally from within the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical industry.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience managing Qualification and Calibration Engineering teams.
