The Role
In this role you will responsible for portfolio of clients working as part of our Shipowners Team as a Marine Hull specialist.
Challenging and varied client group requiring 'hands-on', strong relationship building to assist clients with all aspects of their insurance programme.
Guiding existing clients through mid-term adjustments and renewals, including presentations to the appropriate market. Working closely with Account Executives, for the servicing of both existing business and new business opportunities.Client Portfolio Management
- Develop a strong relationship with clients, understanding their insurance needs and ensuring that these are fulfilled
- Understand changes in client circumstances to ensure that the cover provided continues to match their needs
- Where a client's needs cross over into other specialties will liaise with other Willis divisions to ensure that Willis maintains a consistent approach
- Understand the clients' business and their risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service.
- Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people
- Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams within the BU and across the Group for clients as required
- Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients' needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
- Grow existing portfolio by identifying new from existing opportunities
Retention and Growth
- Crosssell and upsell opportunities are fulfilled
- Encourage new business referrals and recommendations from existing clients
- Undertake renewal market presentations/negotiations and make appropriate recommendations to clients
- Actively drive the sales process and business area practice activity in relation to winning, retaining and developing profitable new clients
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects in conjunction with team
- Respond quickly and accurately to day to day client service requirements and new business introductions
- Actively identify opportunities to work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on account penetration and cross selling opportunities
Placement Management
- Work closely and maintain working relationships with the market as required
- Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
- Ensure compliant processing of contracts as per FCA, CEM and contract certainty
- Check policies, market presentations and client documentation as appropriate
- Design programme and pricing structures to best meet the client's needs based on knowledge of the client, the insurance market and industry sector proposition
- Deliver optimisation of revenue from new and existing clients through the use of the full range of appropriate placement channels, facilities and markets for the specific client segment of the business
Operational
- Always operate within the business procedures and requirements
- Proactively develop appropriate solutions and proposals for clients to ensure optimum client retention rates
- Communicate effectively with clients, associates, markets and others where appropriate to maximise service delivery level
