Responsibilities

Manage the daytoday delivery and procedure of an events, culture, heritage and tourism service.
Develop and deliver a comprehensive range of innovative events, culture, heritage and tourism programmes, projects and events, small and large scale, and assist in the development of initiatives.
Take the lead on policy development across events, culture, heritage and tourism through consultation, stakeholder engagement, analysing need and implementation and review.
Lead work with the providers with emphasis on developing the DMO and Heritage Trust assisting them in the formulation, management and implementation of a comprehensive strategic framework for the development of tourism and heritage.
Maintain partnership arrangements
To lead on the development of the Council's events, culture, heritage and tourism strategies.
Support the promotion of the councils cultural, tourism and heritage offer to both residents and visitors through print, web and media in liaison with the Council's Communications Team.
To be lead officer responsible for the strategic delivery and continued development of the Council's annual events programme and the management of council facilities when used for community events.

Requirements:

Lead in the setting of contracts/service level agreements and the performance standards and targets including for the borough's Heritage Trust, Destination Management Organisation and cultural organisations
Monitoring performance and progress against targets
Taking action to improve performance
Funding services that best meet the priorities
Identifying and scoping resources

Salary:
£52.21-£77,330.28 per hour
