Are you a qualified, licensed and ambitious Dispensing Optician, with two to three years' practical retail based you ready for a new challenge and one that will ultimately offer you more than the typical day to day duties involved?

As Dispensing Optician for this already established online provider, you'll play a pivotal role in helping to promote and build the business' physical retail presence, while also contributing to, and becoming involved in, the company's plans for future expansion.

In your role as the Dispensing Optician, you will of course follow optometrist prescriptions and aid both ecommerce and retail customers with subsequent spectacles and or contact lenses fitting, as well as other optical accessories, while providing necessaryadvice on a range of associated topics, including lenses, frames, weight, colour, aftercare and overall style.

Your role as Dispensing Optician for this global eye wear specialist will though also involve:

Working with the senior management team to advise and provide guidance re current UK based optical accessory trends etc.
Helping with the assessment and selection of appropriate retail space
Ordering a range of optical products and managing inventory accordingly
Maintaining promotional material and applicable store displays
Recruitment and mentoring

Qualified and GOC registered, you'll be IT literate, as well as confident and competent at working with the mathematical and scientific information supplied by optometrists.

Naturally a 'people person', with strong communication skills, you'll be organised and adaptable, with the ability to negotiate and influence optical based purchasing decisions accordingly.

You'll also be commercially aware and indeed interested in moreinvolvement with the overall business and its successful retail growth in the location, as well as potentially others.

An opportunity here to secure a progressive and key Dispensing Optician role with an already successful international online seller, that plans to develop its high street based service offering and then expand accordingly.
