An opportunity has arisen for a dual Health Care Assistant / Administrator role in Sexual Health role in the North Lancashire sexual Health team.

Providing clinics across Morecombe, Lancaster and Carnforth. This is a Part-time post (23 hours/week). The service is open 6 days a week Monday

  • Saturday. The primary shift pattern will be as below, though some flexibility will be required and Saturday cover as well.
  • Monday 09:005:00pm
  • Thursday 12:30 21:00pm
  • Friday 08:30 5:00pm
Clinics are run from 5 sites across Morecombe, 3 sites in Lancaster and Carnforth. The North team has over 40 staff and sees over 10,000 patients a year.

The position will be based across Ashton Community Health Centre, Ryeland's House and Queen Victoria Centre.


The post holder will be an integral and flexible member of the Sexual Health Team, working in traditional and non-traditional community health settings.

The staff member will work under the direction of the Administration Manager.

The successful applicant will also be required on occasion to support the Team Leader in the day-to-day management off the Health Roster, annual leave database and staff training database.


The staff member will be responsible for the administration of the postal pack sexual health testing scheme for the Sexual Health North locality.


The staff member will also support / chaperone senior colleagues during contraceptive procedures and the screening / treatment of patients for sexually transmitted infections (STI's).
