We have a great opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our busy central Student Administration team as Senior Student Administrator Officer.

This role will support activities across Student Administration and the Directorate as a whole and will report to a Student Administration Support Manager.


This team is key in managing and recording the student journey from enrolment through to completion of programme, maintaining accurate student records via SITS, undertaking and advising on key processes such as Extenuating Circumstances, suspensions and withdrawals, student finance, assessment boards, student results, postgraduate research, certificates and prizes.


This role will support the Student Administration Support Managers in the delivery of excellent administrative provision to students and staff and in ensuring effective student processes across all areas (from enrolment to graduation).

The Senior Student Administration Officer will play a key role in collaborating on developing new processes, informed by staff and student feedback, which take into account the changing university landscape.

The post-holder will be expected to work across all areas, often with mínimal supervision. Particular specialisms will be developed according to skills, priorities and direction from the Student Administration Support Managers.

The role holder will require excellent IT and record database experience, accuracy and attention to detail. The role holder will need to work at pace in a busy environment managing many different priorities and tasks.


The role holder will understand the importance of regulations and processes and be able to ensure these are adhered to.


The role holder will be a team player and have a high level of effective communication in order to communicate daily with students, colleagues and external stakeholders.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
