FJR Finance are currently looking for a Credit Control Manager for with a market leading business based in South Manchester for up to 6 monthsAs the Credit Control Manager, you will build excellent relationships with both internal and external customers, whilst encouraging the team to do the same.
The successful applicant will be a confident, pro-active, hardworking individual, with a real trackrecord of improving performance and KPIs across the function.
Duties:
- To effectively manage the credit control function to maximise cash receipts, minimise debt and reduce company exposure.
- Manage the credit control team ensuring that customers pay to terms and that credit limits are not exceeded, placing customer accounts on hold as required.
- Build relationships with commercial team, including heads of channels and commercial director to expedite customer payments that are outstanding and level of bad debts kept to a minimum.
- Execute credit reports and work with commercial team to suggest and agree commercial credit limits with FC and FD when insurance can't be arranged or reduced
- Produce weekly KPI's and reports highlighting DSO/Cash targets/Top 10 overdue debtors and action plans for aged debtors
- Daily balancing of AR ledger ensuring all cash receipts, sales invoicing and credits are reconciled for upload into Debtor financing facility and internal cash flow reports.
- To process and manage all ad hoc invoicing on a daily / weekly basis, including contract bottling, storage and distribution charges, cost recoveries.
- Build and develop relationships with external credit agencies to evaluate a prospective customer's credit worthiness and monitor existing customers
- Build relationships with logistic colleagues to validate and process all customer claims and keep claims to a minimum.
- To provide accurate sales and debtors information to meet the needs of the business and to meet the accounting deadlines.
- To lead and manage the AR team including annual appraisals, setting objectives and identifying training and developing needs.
Person Specification:
- Experience of managing a Credit Control finance team at high volume and with complexities
- Minimum 2 years' experience of working in a similar role
- Strong management skills with a track record of improving performance and team engagement
- Good IT skills and Intermediate Excel skills including experience of creating and using Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of working with other Departments in order to achieve crossdepartment objectives
- Great attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and deliver work in a fastpaced finance environment
- Be immediately available or on 1 weeks notice
Salary & Benefits:
The day rate on offer will be £180 per plus holiday pay and will consist of hybrid working
