Dealer Onboarding Team Leader

Location:
Oxford**
Hours of work:37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm with some home working**
Line Manager:Head of Loan Processing and Operations**
The Role


Reporting into the Head of Loan Processing and Operation the Dealer Onboarding Team Leader is responsible for leading a small team of agents supporting the business in its management of all dealers and brokers that propose business to Oodle Car Finance.

The individual will also support the Underwriting and Dealer Sales team in the undertaking of all onboarding queries and supporting in the ongoing management and monitoring off all dealers and entities on Oodle's panel of lenders.


Key Responsibilities

As a Team Leader, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Organising your team and taking pro-active steps to resolve problems before they arise. This can involve helping to build a scalable process, identifying, and supporting a training need or responding to issues when they occur by tackling them head on
  • Driving the personal and professional development for all members of your team, providing patience, guidance and support during the tough times and always celebrating their successes
  • Delivering results orientated performance against set SLA's/KPI's with a passion for overachieving
  • Ensure rotas are up to date and reflective of resource requirements, utilising the available data to plan for weekly and monthly trends to ensure queue times remain consistent and SLAs are met
  • Working closely with Management to ensure there is a consistently high quality of work across the team, collaborate on the development of new processes and ideas, oversee successful rollout of new processes and systems and provide relevant and constructive feedback to the team.
  • Confidently handle and resolve escalation and exceptions that may occur during the onboarding or oversight of an introducer
  • Utilise all available resources to understand your team's productivity, compliance and quality standards. Provide the relevant support and feedback to individuals/teams as appropriate. Collaborate with other areas of the business to continue to grow and support your team's development needs.

  • Support the business in the undertaking of Know Your Customer checks to ensure introducers are compliant with internal policies and standards
  • Performing due diligence checks and obtain further information to support onboarding requirements
  • Provide expertise to internal stakeholders in your knowledge of the Dealer Onboarding and investigation process
  • Deliver relevant training to the Dealer Sales and Account Management team, where required
  • Provide regular MI to the Head of Loan Processing Operations detailing the volume of business being received each month /quarter / year
  • Ensure that all Dealer Onboarding procedures are up to date and aligned to relevant policies
  • Undertake regular dealer audits to ensure that introduces remain compliant with Oodle Car Finance policy
  • Conduct reviews based on trigger events for introducers and report on findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Support the Financial Crime Operations team in the completion of financial crime audits
  • Support and provide guidance to members of the offshore team in the completion of day to day activities
  • Work with the Dealer Sales team to support with relevant changes to introducer terms and conditions

Essential Experience:


  • Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders over the phone and in writing and is careful to maintain regular dialogue.
  • Well organized, approachable, and willing and able to work with mínimal supervision naturally trust builder
  • Logical thinker with an attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure

Desirable:


  • Experience working within the Motor Finance sector
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly personable nature, able to confidently build relationships and communicate across teams with an adaptable approach
  • The ability to lead a team including coaching and development of staff
  • Ability to take a proactive and resultsoriented approach to work
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Handson problem solver
