They must have excellent communication skills, a pleasant manner and fully computer literate with a keen eye for detail.


They should have a desire to expand beyond their current experiences, with a willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the service, addressing new challenges when required.

They must be able to work under their own initiative, have good time managements skills, be flexible in your approach and demonstrate the ability to multi task.

A previous working knowledge of supporting clinical members of staff and a willingness to travel is desirable.

Our office hours are between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.


Liaise with relevant Long Covid MDT members to ensure that all appropriate patients are identified and included on the MDT list for discussion at the MDT meeting, and distribute the lists within a reasonable timescale before the meeting.

Include all the relevant clinical data about the patient that is required for the MDT discussion.


Support meetings and proactive monitoring and tracking of the Long Covid patients ensuring that their information is correct and up to date.

Ensure case notes, x-rays and results are available at MDT meetings. This will involve viewing sharing agreements on the EMIS system and displaying the relevant documents.

Attend each MDT meeting, recording minutes of the discussion. Following the meeting, provide the core MDT members with the minutes and actions required.


Ensure that any patients requiring investigations, treatments and actions from the MDT are documented and referrals made in a timely manner, avoiding any delay in this process.

Maintain an attendance register and updated list of MDT membership.

Schedule future dates for MDT meetings and ensure a suitable venue is booked on an annual basis. Send out agendas and dates to the appropriate MDT members.

The service is provided in a variety of settings including community hospitals, residential care settings, community clinics and patient's own homes.


Be responsible for identifying and resolving delays in the patient pathway in conjunction with the Long Covid Clinical Co-Ordinator and SPOA Admin Lead.


  • Ensure that the PCSS patient database is kept up to date with all relevant information and is ready for fortnightly and monthly data submissions.
  • Highlight any regular system bottlenecks and contribute ideas to resolve these.
  • Work closely with the Long Covid Management Team and Clinical Service Lead to continually improve the patient journey.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of patient details into the patient database and EMIS system.
  • Be able to identify and advise clinical teams on when adjustments can be made to the patient journey, ensuring these are documented in both the patient case notes
  • Support with collation and submission of data reporting for the Long Covid Service, working with the Therapies Data Systems and Information Officer.
Video Conferencing


  • Support Video Conferencing by ensuring that the equipment is on and working prior to MDT meetings. Ensure that a local user manual for video conferencing is available and kept up-to-date, for use when the MDT coordinator is not available, being annual leave or sickness absence.
