Description
This is an on going temporary contract with the possiblity of going perm.

5 on 3 off rolling pattern with shift times starting for a 9-hour working day.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • Check your vehicle prior to use at the start of your shift as standard security and safety protocol.
  • Report any vehicle defects and/or damage to team leader.
  • Ensure vehicle is security checked and sealed by an authorised staff member before departing to the airport with specified documentation.
  • To comply with Food Safety and Hygiene protocols, ensure vehicle refrigeration is switched on to maintain temperature levels as per the guidelines.
  • Load and unload catering on and off the truck and aircraft in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with airport safety rules, airline requirements and Company Safety procedures.
  • Load aircraft as per the galley plans and adhering to company policy.
  • Drive to the aircraft adhering to DVLA, local and airport rules and or law.
  • Drive on to aircraft as per your training, ensuring you do not deviate from it at any point.
  • Hand over to crew ensuring security paperwork is handed over to crew and the delivery note is signed.
  • Return catering to the unit and ensure it is offloaded into the relevant department.
  • Ensure Tacho is used correctly for every trip and in compliance with Road Traffic Regulations.
  • Operating high loader vehicle following training and health and safety procedures.
  • Delivering and collecting from various destinations in the UK when requested.
  • Report any incidents and accidents to your line manager.
  • Ensure correct uniform and relevant PPE is worn at all times whilst on shift.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
  • Refuelling vehicles as and when required.
  • Minor maintenance of vehicles i.e., topup screen wash, adblue.
  • Supervise the staff screening process (currently within the COVID guidelines).
  • Work in all other areas of the business listed but not limited to administration (for large units in your department, for smaller units (under 50 employees) any area of administration, bond store, equipment pack, production, stores. Dependent on operationalrequirements.
  • Working as part of a team with members of all departments.
  • Interact with, colleagues, customers and clients in a professional manner at all times.
  • Any other duties as requested by your manager.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Class 2 License.
  • Good team work and communication skills.
  • Selfmotivation, commitment and enthusiasm and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, DVLA, CAA/DFT requirements.
