Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Genetics Department at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Specimen Reception Clerical Assistant.


The post holder will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role.

They will share the Trust values and be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.


The post holder will support and assist the Departmental Administrator by providing clerical functions for the day-to-day running of the department.

The individual will assist with general laboratory and administrative tasks including sample reception, word-processing, data input and sending out reports.


In all aspects the post holder will be required to follow detailed protocols and standard operating procedures and to ensure that all relevant paperwork and records are kept up-to-date and complete.


Sheffield Children's is one of three independent, specialist paediatric hospitals in the country, providing dedicated healthcare for children and young people across community, mental health and acute specialist settings.
