Job Purpose:


This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and energetic team players, with a strong work ethic, who will join Markets Operations.

This is a Vice President (VP) role within the Markets Operations Organization and is a great opportunity to join a growing and dynamic change management team specializing in the Futures and OTC Clearing product line, working on projects delivering impact forour clients, Citi's franchise businesses, improving the risk and control environment and benefiting the financial performance of the business.

The change team is part of the larger Transformation function within Markets Operations.

We're seeking individuals with at least 10 years work experience in Finance, with strong project management skills and experience, keen to learn and expand their knowledge and experience in operations and financial derivatives.

You will be responsible for running the global OTC Client Clearing change programme which covers new products, regulatory and market mandatory initiatives as well as strategic initiatives impacting this product line.

You will use your skills to navigate theorganization and drive project best practices in order achieve positive outcomes in the course of your work.

You will develop a broad and detailed understanding of the Organization's landscape, culture, processes, and Technology and will learn about financial futures markets and cleared derivatives and the critical part that Markets Operations plays at Citi.

You will have the opportunity to work with senior leaders in the organization and will be reporting to the Global Head of Change Management for FCX Operations.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the daytoday management of executing to milestones and budget on one or more projects
  • Assess creation of project artifacts appropriate for the project methodology being used
  • Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives and confirm project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents
  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand project schedule and key milestones
  • Escalate project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate
  • Ensure vendor performance is monitored and actions taken if performance warrants
  • Provides sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Directly affects the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Responsible for managing a team of junior project managers/business analysts.

Qualifications:


  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, primarily in financial services
  • Experience of managing cleared derivatives either in a product, line management or project capacity is essential
  • Experience in managing/supervising project managers/business analysts/project officers
  • Experience in interaction at senior management level of businesses
  • Broad understanding of business practices
  • Demonstrates capacity to work in highly pressured environments.

Education:


  • Bachelor's/University degree preferred

Our Business Intelligence and Process Re-engineering group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges.

We partner with Citi's innovation labs to drive optimization, and overall play a pivotal rolein enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.
