Role:
Academy Lead
Salary:
£25k pro rata (£20,000 per annum)
Hours: 30 hours a week - Worked flexible across the week Monday to Friday

Main Purpose:
Building Heroes is a Queens Award charity providing skills training to Service Leavers and Military Veterans supporting them into employment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong networking links with the Military, Resettlement Officers, PRU's, other underrepresented groups, and Military Charities to promote the Building Heroes courses and opportunities
- Liaise closely with learners during the period prior to course commencement and during the course, to ensure course attendance, provide early engagement and support, as needed
- Complete all associated organisation and administrative work and assist in the management of appropriate administrative systems.
- Develop a network of local/regional employment and apprenticeship/training providers to secure progression routes for programme graduates. Work with academy partners and supply chains to identify employment opportunities for learners.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of the military desirable but not essential.
- Excellent IT skills and an eye for detail is essential for this role, as you will be using several databases and computer systems.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and learners with compassion and empathy.
- Strong administration skills, with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, with problem solving abilities.
- Access to a car and willing to travel for business purposes.
