Liaison & Diversion Practitioner Oxfordshire Band - 7 Developmental Clinician Role


This post is a band 6-7 developmental post, and therefore applicants may be appointed, at interview, at band 7 or at band 6 with a set of competencies then being completed in post to progress to band 7.

Applicants may be appointed at band 7 with appropriate experience.

Band 6 - £33,706 - £40,588

Band 7 - £41,659 - £47,67- Do you think everyone under arrest is guilty of a crime?

  • Or that all criminals should be locked up for as long as possible?
If so, this is NOT the job for you.

  • Do believe that a person's health needs, and past experiences can be linked to their criminal offending?
  • By identifying and reducing health needs can vulnerable people be supported to make positive changes and reduce the risk of reoffending?


We're looking for a qualified Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disabilities nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker to join our Liaison and Diversion team.

You will have a keen interest in health and justice and a passion for supporting our service users as they make their way through police custody or court.


Our work has been recognised with several awards, including a Thames Valley/Hampshire Constabulary Police Commendation, Berkshire Healthcare 'Team of the Year' and runner-up for the Howard League for Penal Reform 'Liaison and Diversion Service of the Year'.
