About the position:

As we look to scale-up our offering, The Student Mentoring Company are looking for a Senior Recruiter to join us as the first part of our growth.

This is an exciting time for us, and we are looking for someone enthusiastic, determined and driven to grow a team around.

Initially, we are looking for someone on a part-time basis, 3 days a week, so the role would be perfect for a single parent or someone whose circumstances do not allow them to undertake a full-time position.

About you
Ideally, you are someone who has a successful, demonstrable background in non profit or education recruitment. Someone who has always enjoyed a challenge and wants to feel like they are providing real value.

A good communicator and relationship builder, you have an unrivalled network with 'black book' to match which will enable you to 'hit the ground running' (please excuse the cliché).

If you have management experience, then great, but this is not essential.

It is important that you understand the challenge of building a desk from nothing and agency recruitment experience is considered essential.

We will provide you with everything you need to be successful. We are essentially starting from scratch so you will be providing input from the beginning. You will have full autonomy and be allowed to do things 'your way'.

We will be here when you need us, but ultimately the reason we are hiring you is to leave you to it.

Although the position is remote, we do require you to be in the Cambridgeshire area. There will be no pressure of KPI's, but progress measurement will be mutually discussed at the interview stage.

We want to incentivise you, so are looking to offer a smaller basic salary than what might be the industry standard for senior level to start but are prepared to offer you a higher commission.

This can then be negotiated at pre-determined times based on success.
