Join us as an eFX Derivatives Trading Associate

  • We're looking for someone to join our eFX Trading team to help with all the elements of automation in our Forex forwards and options franchise
  • Daytoday, you'll work on quantitative and technological problems, while carrying out trading activities on authorised products when required

What you'll do

You'll partner with forward and options traders to solve problems encountered on the desk and identify opportunities to improve our business.

You'll also be the interface between our trading business and colleagues in quant and technology teams, translatingbusiness problems into automated solutions.

With that said, we'll need you to help our business to deliver on revenue, cost and performance targets. This'll be through the use of resources to produce innovative solutions to business problems.

Furthermore you'll be responsible for:

  • Monitoring desk performance, key performance indicators and structured reviews
  • Helping with the development of new quantitative business logic through the development of ideas and their implementation
  • Making sure trading activities are in line with group policies covering market, conduct, operational, credit and regulatory risks
  • Developing automated capabilities and improving existing features for clients and traders while working with traders and our quant technology functions
  • Supporting sales and structuring to widen client footprints and assisting with marketing activities through client visits and trade agreements

The skills you'll need
We'll need you to have at least two years' experience in a similar role. Excellent quantitative and technical skills would be advantageous.

You'll also need:

  • An understanding of how to solve complex problems and a commercial mindset
  • Knowledge of how to explain complex or theoretical concepts succinctly
  • Experience of working in trading or with traders
  • An interest in working on trading automation
