Duration:
- Temporary, February-May
Location: - Birmingham
Hours:
- Up to 37 hours a week
Pay Rate:
- c.£25 an hour via umbrella
An opening has arisen for a Temporary Mental Health Advisor to work in an establishment in Birmingham.
The role will entail the individual to work alongside the UMHAN - one of the professional bodies for Higher Education Mental Health Advisers and Mentors.
- Overseeing the caseload of students and assessing risk
- Liaising with academic staff regarding student welfare as well as external agencies
- Developing support plans for individual students
- Recognising when students are at their most vulnerable, such as in times of change and transition and approaching exams, and offer assistance
- Demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Coordinating and managing the work of mental health mentors, including allocations and administrative duties
- Experience working in Higher Education (desirable)
- A professional qualification in the field of mental health (e.g. RMN, social work, OT)
- Experience of case work, crisis interventions and mental health assessments
