Summary:


The Group Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations.

This includes providing support with disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, absence management, redundancy and restructure, TUPE and other HR-related matters.


The Group Employee Relations Advisor also plays a key role in developing and implementing employee relations policies and procedures, and in promoting a positive employee relations culture within the organisation.

The central HR function supports 4000+ employees.

You will be passionate, approachable, and driven, with a strong capability to manage deadlines and drive best practice enabling our hotel teams to deliver unrivalled customer service.

A true HR professional, you will hold a high degree of integrity and will possess exceptional decision-making skills.


Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Ideally minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards.
  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage own workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in hotels and/or hospitality would be advantageous.

Duties will include:


  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, absence management, redundancy and restructure, TUPE and other HRrelated matters.
  • Personally manage complex ER casework end to end.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Promote a positive employee relations culture within the organisation.
  • Represent the organisation in employment tribunals and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide training and development to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
  • Champion mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
  • Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and share best practice with them.
  • Collaborate with hotel and central teams to drive and implement people initiatives to benefit the business and its workforce.
  • Be proactive in leading the continual improvement of employee experience.
  • Manage all HRIS ensuring legal compliance.
  • Manage all Employee Relations case logs.
  • Analyse data to provide regular reports to the Board summarising ER KPI's, metrics and people performance statistics.
  • Support alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Support change management processes.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and persuasive skills with all stakeholders.
  • Support other HR functions as required.
