Deerfoot IT Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a talented and collaborative Technology Portfolio Manager to join our client's inclusive team.

This full-time portfolio management role is based in Letchworth with hybrid working and offers a favourablesalary of up to £70,000 and fantastic benefits including 15% bonus.


As a skilled Technology Portfolio Manager, you will work within the technology department, reporting to the Head of Technology Transformation and Projects.

The purpose of this role is to direct all aspects of technology project delivery for the group. Youwill also support the internal project delivery team and external partners to achieve the agreed business outcomes.

In your first few weeks in this Technology Portfolio Manager role, you can expect to:

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and build confidence and trust with clear professional communication
  • Engage with key stakeholders to identify objectives, outcomes, workstreams, resources and details of products to be delivered
  • Establish and maintain the pipeline of new project requests and handover of project work from other teams
  • Meet the project demand with internal and external resources, managing stakeholder expectations throughout the process
  • Adapt and innovate the project lifecycle


To succeed in this technology portfolio management role, you must have 5+ years of practical large-scale portfolio, project or programme management experience.

The position also requires a high level of emotional intelligence to influence, maintain trustand manage a wide range of business and technology stakeholders.

In addition, you should have the following skills and expertise:


  • Demonstrable experience directing a broad range of technology projects
  • Proven history of delivering projects within the agreed time, cost, and quality expectations
  • Exceptional business and commercial acumen
  • Excellent planning, budgeting, time management and communication skills
  • Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements and outcomes
