We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile banking clients.

They are currently looking for a Product Owner to join them for an initial 6 month contract, however, with the possibility for extension.


About the role:


This role is primarily aligned to supporting the Finance Valuation Control team to manage and process loan data by implementing changes that support the clients new business strategy and implementing enhancements that improve the level of control and efficiencyin the loan management area.

You will be collaborating with internal customer teams to ensure that change requirements are well understood and, subsequently, that changes have been tested and integrated successfully into the system and business processes.


Accountabilities:


  • Oversight of all development activity in LMS
  • Collaboration with a variety of customers to build your understanding of the end to end business processes
  • Proactive, regular engagement with customers to maintain a shared understanding of the highest priority change requests and ensure alignment of development activity with stakeholder priorities
  • Understanding the purpose of the loan management system and associated business processes, how they interact and the customers that use them
  • Regular liaison with model development teams to ensure smooth model deployments and alignment between model and data activity
  • Liaison with Risk and Audit to manage risk actions and audit queries
  • Regular liaison with Risk for upcoming developments and maintenance of logs for deployed code
  • Completion of monthly release notes / change documentation
  • Management of all team ceremonies
  • Ensure compatibility with wider DS&C protocols
  • Updates to HoDs in relation to priorities, resources and costs
  • Ensuring change controls are operated effectively

Key Skills:


  • Life insurance and/or pensions experience
  • Business analysis, coding or Actuarial experience would be advantageous, though not essential, to understand the functionality of the system, the downstream reporting context and an understanding of the risk management framework
  • Proficient at producing detailed delivery plans and updating these quickly when needed
  • Confident and proactive when communicating with others
  • Curious in nature by asking questions to deepen understanding
  • Continuous drive for the improvement of processes
  • Experience of managing a team of developers would be useful
  • Experience of overseeing frequent deployments would be useful
  • Experience of working in Agile delivery teams would be useful

Location:


This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to go into either the Bristol, Edinburgh, London or West Yorkshire offices 2 days a week.


Working hours:

Standard working hours with some flex where required.
