We operate over 7 million of warehousing space across 30+ locations in the UK. Our distribution network spans all corners of the country.

Our Transport Administrator site are now recruiting for a Transport Administrator on a Fixed Term basis.

Working hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 - 16:00


Job Description:


The purpose of a Transport Administrator is to provide administrative support and creation of accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines and contributing to the overall success of the site.


Key Duties of a Transport Administrator:

  • Contribute to the success of the site by ensuring that all POD and Return processes are carried out in accordance with the site policy documents.
  • Ensure all paperwork is returned for all customer deliveries despatched from site, and chase outstanding POD's.
  • Monitoring daily the POD workflow.
  • Report all claused POD's to the Transport Administration Supervisor and keep a log
  • Liaising with staff at other depots and external contacts.
  • Inputting Over, Short and Returns on the site returns spreadsheet.
  • Completing returns to customers in a timely fashion.
  • Supply the Warehouse team with any returns they should receive to allow stock to be put away.
  • Investigate all returns queries.
  • Checking all timesheets and ensuring all paperwork is correct.
  • Enter information from driver run sheets on to Road Runner.
  • Run daily and weekly reports/checks and report any issues to Transport Administration Supervisor

Qualifications:


  • Proven previous experience in an administrative role
  • Flexibility within the role to be able to cover other areas of the team.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to manage their own time to achieve daily targets.
  • Must be a team player that is capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Data entry speed and accuracy, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
  • Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns.
