Job Description Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Income and Asset Reconciliations team on a fixed term contract.
The role will be within the Platform Centre (I&A Team) where the focus is on ensuring all internal client asset and external custodian asset positions are reconciled correctly and for ensuring that all fund related client income is processed & reported in a timely, effective and compliant manner.
The focus of activity is on all aspects of reconciliation, money processing for funding, income and all distribution processing with all components pertaining to CASS.
To deliver in this role, the job holder must have a good knowledge of the reconciliations processes and the associated regulations.
Job Description:
Key Tasks
Responsibility for running and maintaining core team processes, CASS 6 internal and external reconciliations, income and accumulation distribution processing, bank interest, loyalty bonus and rebate processing, consistencies against procedures, process checking and error control.
Process management of exceptions arising from reconciliation, this is typically, the result of processing failures that require investigation and a solution outside the standard model.
Take responsibility for own development and work towards completing capability matrix measures and actively seek to build a full working knowledge of all end to end processes of the platform.
Work of colleague's quality assured to ensure that errors are minimised and the customer receives the best quality service.
As required, and determined by the knowledge and experience of the job holder, support the development of Platform Centre colleagues by providing structured coaching and mentoring support for less experienced team members to ensure their training experience is enhanced and knowledge is shared across the Platform Centre.
Responsible for recommending changes to procedures, process and technology and participating in their implementation to improve the customer experience, reduce risk and maximise efficiency.

Good knowledge of the Financial Services industry and the platform investment market in particular; SIPP, ISA and Mutual Fund desirable
General knowledge regulatory and compliance requirements / issues
Experience:
Experience of reconciliations within Financial Services is essential
Financial services experience is essential
Previous experience of working in a Platform or Mutual Funds environment is desirable
Qualifications:
IOC qualifications desirable or desire to work towards attaining these. (Achievement of these qualifications will be required to progress your career in the Platform Centre.)
CII/FPC exams desirable
