Insurance Credit Officer

The role


Do you have a passion for Cash Collections or Receivables Management? Our Credit Department supports the Radius group of companies globally.

We have credit management experts across thirteen countries, and we'd love to help you develop your career as a credit professional.

The role of the Insurance Credit Officer will be to run and own the insurance ledgers, working alongside our internal in-house specialists and field agents.

The role holder will work directly with the credit manager to meet bad debt targets and improve debt recovery performance.


We would love to welcome you to one of our key insurance offices: Crewe Campus, Sheffield or Leeds, whether you're at the start of your career or looking for your next challenge.

Full training for any role will be provided and we can offer full study support for either CICM or AAT.

Whilst experience in a credit role may be an advantage, the right attitude is the most important quality. We are keen to hear from you whatever stage you are at in your credit career.

Salary:
Up to £25,000 basic salary + commission


Location:
Crewe HQ / Sheffield / Leeds


Hours:
Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm


What would your day to day look like as an Insurance Credit Officer?

  • Daily contact with customers via Telephone, SMS, Email, Payment links or Letter, in line with credit policy
  • Delivering premium credit default rates, collections, and debt recovery performance in order to achieve bad debt targets
  • Escalation of accounts and issues as required
  • Proactively engage relevant stakeholders within the wider credit team across sales, finance, and broking to build relationships and share knowledge
  • Use exposure to different areas of Credit and businesses / products to share good ideas and approaches across the team and improve the processes and systems as a result
  • Drive the weekly/monthly ledger review and sign off with the finance team and ensure compliance with credit procedures and bad debt policy.

What do we expect of you as an Insurance Credit Officer?

Attention to Detail - a head for numbers and ability to spot and solve problems whilst dealing with a high volume of transactional data.

  • Insurance background is desirable, not essential
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
