We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor, to lead a team of Housekeepers at our beautiful Care Home.

Based in Lytham St Annes - a care home with a CQC rating of "good" in all five areas.

9.7 on and RDB five star rating.

This position is full time (40 hours per week) and will require flexibility working alternate weekends.

Purpose of Position

To be responsible for the general hygiene and cleanliness of the home.
To ensure that all domestic staff actively contribute to the quality of domestic life in the home.
To keep the cost of cleaning within budgeted guidelines.

Main Duties of our Housekeeping Supervisor

To allocate cleaning programmes for each housekeeper and to monitor the quality and thoroughness of the work.
To control an allocated budget for the purchase of cleaning materials and to minimise wastage.
To be responsible for the supervisions and appraisals of the other housekeepers.
To contribute to staff meetings and encourage motivation and a good working atmosphere.
To be part of the cleaning rota and to share in the cleaning duties.
To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
To complete audits and action any findings

Skills and Experience of a Housekeeping Supervisor;

Experience with rota management
Experience with cleaning frequencies and how to identify key areas for priority cleaning
To have good knowledge of CQC and infection control guidance
Familiar with cleaning schedules and supervising cleaning
High level of written and spoken English

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in housekeeping. On the job training provided

Attention to detail

Strong teamwork and leadership skills & work ethic

A positive can-do attitude

Interviews will be held for this post the week commencing 14/08/2023

Salary:
£11.00-£12.00 per hour
