The role:

We're looking for a graphic designer to join Starling's Creative Studio.
You'll bring innovative craftsmanship to the team, delivering a consistent and exciting visual design language. Ideally you'll have at least two years of experience working in a studio environment.

In return, you'll get a genuinely varied and interesting range of projects to work on, and talented collaborators in the form of the Studio's designers, copywriters and motion experts.

Reporting to our Art Director, your work will appear across multiple touchpoints:

one day you might be designing our next national OOH campaign; the next, you might be creating a new look and feel for our paid channels.

What you'll do

  • You'll be responsible for delivering best in class design, to help maintain and develop the visual aesthetic of Starling across all touchpoints.
  • Drive projects from start to finish, working collaboratively across teams on ideation, creation and delivery.
  • Primarily working on the following areas: brand, customer acquisition and growth (paid and organic channels).
  • Contribute to the concepting phase of briefs for social, brand, website and paid advertising.
  • Working on all major ad and creative campaigns.
  • Deliver engaging design for said briefs.
  • Iterate designs based on data learnings and insights.
  • Assist the team with storyboarding where needed.
  • Work on a fastpaced team where you may need to work on a number of projects at once.
  • Be an active member of the studio, sharing your knowledge and contributing to the design culture within the wider company.

Requirements:

What you'll bring along

An overview of what would be useful:

  • 2+ years professional experience in a creative studio.
  • Experience working with paid channels and aware of platform possibilities.
  • A portfolio of exciting work.
  • Fluent in Adobe and Figma.
  • An interest in data driven design.
  • An inquisitive, passionate and self motivated attitude, open to new ways of working and learning.
  • A thirst for knowledge; keeping up to date with digital content trends and techniques.
  • A strong eye for composition, colour, typography, movement and depth.
  • Good timekeeping skills work here is fast paced, and you'll need to meet deadlines and demonstrate a level of flexibility to ensure work is completed on time.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player and able to take feedback on board.
  • Ability to ask, as well as answer, meaningful and impactful questions.
  • Excitement for Starling.
