Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Part Time - 20 Hours per Week


Edinburgh College of Art is seeking to recruit a part-time Student Advice Administrator to join the team on an open-ended basis.


The Opportunity


The successful post-holder will provide administrative support to ECA Student Advisers and Student Development Officers as part of ECA's Student and Academic Support Service (SASS).


Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Tactful manner, good communication skills both verbal and written. May need to deal with difficult situations or be first contact for a student in distress.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to follow direction/guidance whether given verbally or in writing via procedures notes, policy documents or guidance from senior SASS colleagues.
  • Good judgement, using awareness and understanding of procedures and policies to know when cases may need to be escalated.
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements and handling of personal information.
  • Sound working knowledge of University Support services what is available, how to access the services etc.
